Big House Games - Special Olympics
A DAY OF SPORTS, MEMORIES, AND FRIENDS
We are thrilled to announce that Special Olympics College at the University of Michigan is hosting our first annual Big House Games on April 5th at Michigan Stadium! Our goal with this event is to bring together Special Olympics programs from various schools in the Midwest, fostering a sense of community and offering an inclusive and fun environment for all participants. Special Olympics is dedicated to providing sports opportunities for people of all abilities and spreading awareness of the power of inclusion.
We plan to include 5 rotating activities: volleyball, soccer, football, yard games, and arts/craft. SO Colleges will participate in each station, interacting and playing with different schools so everyone has the opportunity to meet new people! We also plan on having a DJ throughout the whole event, along with a guest speaker and food at the end. Our Special Olympics club will serve as volunteers with different Michigan student organizations helping out as well.
Ultimately, we want our message to be clear: people of all abilities deserve opportunities in sports. The Big House Games will be a groundbreaking event that will champion inclusion in our Michigan community and across the Midwest! We would love for you to join us!
